The Way Home
Mother’s Day 2026
Earlier this week, I could feel something rising in me before I had words for it. Emotions sat just beneath the surface, like water pressing quietly against a dam. I wasn’t sure what I needed; only that something inside me was asking to be noticed.
I recognized my tenderness in an unexpected moment: projecting my fear of being unseen onto one of the people I love most. Even as it happened, I could see the unfairness of it. That awareness didn’t erase the feeling, though.
It only made me ask the deeper question:
What is really stirring here?
